Holding on to the past is energetically heavy and can hurt you in the long run. Here are 5 steps to release the past and the pain.

Are you haunted by past mistakes, trapped in guilt and regret? The chains of “should have,” “must have,” and “if only” can hinder your present joy and future creation. I know I have.
Did you know your face and body reflect the weight of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future?

We all know the past is unchangeable, but its lessons are invaluable. Holding onto past burdens can strain your relationships, hinder opportunities, and distract you from living in the present. Liberating yourself from the trauma, the pain, even unhealthy relationships, regrets, and limiting beliefs opens the door to joy, calm, and a peaceful mind.

Here are 5 steps to guide you toward appreciating and focusing on your life today:

Evaluate:

Reflect on past pain, identify its impact on your present, and assess its usefulness.

  • How does “it” that past pain affect you today?
  • How does it make you happy or unhappy?
  • Does it cause current problems, affect your happiness, or hinder your dreams?

If it no longer serves you, are you willing to declare, “I no longer need this pain. It belongs in the past.”

With just a few sessions of hypnotherapy, you can get to ‘see’ the old memory without its emotional connection to your present.  We do this so you know the past pain no longer has a hold over your mind and body and can no longer affect you emotionally, mentally, or physically.   You can Be FREE of “it”

Accept:

Acknowledge that the past is history. Carrying anger, hurt, bitterness, resentment, and guilt is a choice. Emotional weight can be heavier than physical weight – choose to release it.

Be Grateful:

Gratitude for past experiences, especially the challenging ones, releases old hurts. Reflect on your growth, lessons learned, and how those experiences shaped you.

What did you learn? How have those experiences shaped you?
Instead of thinking no good can come out of something so bad, take a moment and review where you are now. Without these experiences, you would not be who you are today!

Meditate:

Use centering meditation to relax your body, quiet your mind, and create a tranquil mental state. Focus on your breath and practice being fully present. Turn your thoughts to the present whenever the past intrudes.  Breathe in – Breathe out.

Tell a New Story:

Break free from perpetuating old stories that limit you. Be clear as to what you desire.  Make your goals exciting – then repeat it until your goals are not only possible but achievable by YOU.

Practice forgiveness and align your words with your desired goals. Speak with more kindness towards yourself and others. Visualize the future you desire. Repeat a new, empowering story about yourself.

When you come to believe and have faith – your fate can change with your new belief!

Remember, YOU Matter.

Evoke the past. Embrace these steps to let go of the past. Evolve by stepping into the freedom of living in the present moment.
